    Innovative pharmacy channels in Zambia offer benefits, such as enhanced traceability and improved quality assurance, but also face challenges, including slow adoption of technology, financial barriers to innovation, and regulatory hurdles. A 3-pronged approach involving technological integration, government support, and robust regulatory frameworks is recommended to realize the full benefits of such innovative distribution channels and ensure access to quality medicines.

    Preventing interruption in service delivery during project transition is essential to sustain good client outcomes. Adequate planning, strategic leadership, trust-building, active community engagement, repeated stakeholder reassurance, open communication, and transparent data sharing are key elements of a well-managed project transition to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

    We identified 15 research and learning priorities for surgical obstetrics and family planning for a project’s learning agenda through an expert consultation. Practitioners, program implementers, donors, and researchers involved in global safe surgery, maternal health, and family planning can apply these priorities toward guiding their evidence generation and translation efforts.
