    A woman cannot die from a pregnancy she does not have. (Diamond Smith N, Potts M. 2011. International Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health. 37: 155-157). An analysis of age specific maternal mortality in Sweden between 1900 and 2000 demonstrates that 50% of the remarkable fall in MMR over the past 100 years has been due to better obstetric care, and 50% to giving women family planning choices. It will take time and money to build a improve obstetric services in Uganda and ZAmbia, access to family planning can be improved today.
