About the GHSP Journal

Global Health: Science and Practice (GHSP) is a no-fee, open access, peer-reviewed online journal intended to be a resource for public health professionals who design, implement, manage, evaluate, and otherwise support health programs in low- and middle-income countries.

GHSP fills an important gap in the scholarly literature for evidence and experience from global health programs implemented under real-world conditions, with specifics on the “how” of implementation—lessons and detail that are often buried in gray literature or not documented at all.

GHSP has an impact factor of 3.409 and is published 6 times a year (February, April, June, August, October, and December).

Author Fees

GHSP does not charge any fees for authors, regardless of their location, to submit or publish an article.

Topics and Scope

We include articles on all global health topics, including but not limited to family planning, reproductive health, maternal and child health, water and sanitation, nutrition, and communicable and noncommunicable diseases. The journal embraces an interdisciplinary approach and covers a range of cross-cutting issues such as gender, quality improvement, logistics, and supply chain management.

Indexes

GHSP is currently indexed in PubMed, PubMed Central, Web of Science Social Sciences Citation Index, Scopus, EBSCO, CABI Global Health, and the USAID Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC).

Open Access Policy

GHSP applies the Creative Commons Attribution License to all articles that we publish. Under this license, authors retain ownership of copyright for their articles or they can transfer copyright to their institution, but authors allow anyone without permission to copy, distribute, transmit, and/or adapt articles, so long as the original authors and source are cited.
